Accessibility Statement

Havstack (Ramshackle Capital AB, reg. no. 559350-4771) provides the Havstack platform, a service for design system teams with two surfaces: an administration interface for the team and a public customer portal where documentation, requests, roadmaps and design tokens are published. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the service. This statement describes how Havstack conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA, known deficiencies, and how to report accessibility problems to us.

Havstack is a business-to-business service and is not directly covered by the Swedish Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Service (the DOS Act). This statement is published voluntarily and follows the structure of a DOS accessibility statement, in part so that public sector customers can use it as input for their own accessibility statements and procurement processes. The DOS Act references WCAG 2.1 AA via EN 301 549; our review was conducted against WCAG 2.2 AA, which includes all criteria of 2.1 AA.

Havstack is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. At the time of the most recent review there were no known deviations in the platform’s own interfaces. The deficiencies listed below concern language declaration and content created by individual customers.

1. Page language is always declared as English. Portal content is authored by each customer and may be in another language, but pages declare lang="en". This can cause incorrect screen reader pronunciation for content in other languages (WCAG 3.1.1 Language of Page). Planned remedy: a per-customer content language setting that controls the language declaration.
2. Customer-authored content. Text, heading structure and images on published pages are created by each customer in the platform’s editor. The platform allows alternative text for images but does not require it, and cannot guarantee heading structure in customer content. Individual customers’ pages may therefore fall short of, among others, WCAG 1.1.1 (Non-text Content). Planned remedy: stronger prompts and guidance for alternative text in the editor.
3. Animations do not honor the system reduced-motion preference. Interface animations are brief and disabling them is not required for level AA, but support for prefers-reduced-motion is planned.

We do not claim any exemption on the grounds of disproportionate burden.

The review was carried out internally in August 2026 (self-assessment) in three steps:

1. Static code review of both surfaces against WCAG 2.2 AA (2026-08-25).
2. Automated testing with axe-core 4.13.0 via Playwright across 34 page states: both surfaces, light and dark color schemes, desktop and mobile viewports, signed in and signed out. Identified issues were remediated in three rounds (accessible names, color contrast, semantics/keyboard/landmarks) and verified with measured contrast ratios.
3. Manual keyboard-only review of core flows (2026-08-26): skip links, tables, modal dialogs and focus management, image viewer, search, mobile navigation, and keyboard drag-and-drop (Enter opens, Space moves).

Customer portal themes are configured per customer. The platform automatically derives text colors that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements regardless of the customer’s chosen palette.

This statement was last updated on 2026-08-26. The next review is planned in connection with major interface changes, and no later than within twelve months.

Havstack is not subject to supervision under the DOS Act. For services covered by the Act, the Swedish Agency for Digital Government (Digg) is the supervisory authority. Public sector customers using the Havstack portal as part of their digital service are responsible for their own accessibility statements; we provide supporting documentation on request.
